NOTICE – RULES & CONDUCT
ROSWELL YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION
My child has registered to play soccer with the
Roswell Youth Soccer Association. I agree to the following:

  1. I will sit at least five yards from the side lines on the opposite side of the field from the players. I will not stand beyond the 18 yard line or behind the goals at either end of the field while play is in progress.

  2. I will not harass, threaten, criticize or assault a player, coach or referee before, during or at the conclusion of the game.

  3. Should I violate any of the above rules, the game will be stopped and I will be escorted from the field.

  4. I am fully aware that verbal and physical abuse of a referee is a crime that is subject to disciplinary action by Roswell Youth Soccer Association and New Mexico Youth Soccer Association and could result in criminal charges being filed against me.

RYSA always needs individuals to Coach. There will be a couple of very good training sessions for coaching this season. Take advantage of these opportunities. Call 575-622-0690 or e-mail registrar@roswellsoccer.org and volunteer TODAY !

COACHES TRAINING CLINICS

Roswell Youth Soccer Association’s mandatory Coach Training Clinics scheduled on Saturday, September 11th for U4/U8 coaches and Sunday, September 12th for U10/U13 coaches. 

All coaches are required to attend on.  Clinics are free, educational, and informative for both new and experienced coaches.  Coaches completing clinics will reveive a Youth Module I or II license.  (Training is mandatory only once.) NM Youth Soccer Association will provide the two Youth Module Courses as follows:

 

          U4 / U8 Coaches  Youth Module 1

         Date:  Saturday, 11 September 2010

    Time:    9:00AM – 12:00PM Classroom

Location:Roswell Adult Center, 807 N. Missouri 

     Time:    1:00PM - 3:00PM Field Training 

Location:  Cielo Grande Soccer Complex,

                          1612 West College Boulevard

U-10 / U-13 Coaches - Youth Module 2   

 Date:  Sunday, 12 September 2010

     Time:    9:00AM  12:00PM Classroom

Location:Roswell Adult Center, 807 N. Missouri

      Time:    1:00PM  3:00PM Field Training

Location:  Cielo Grande Soccer Complex,

                          1612 West College Boulevard

 

Coaches MUST pre register on New Mexico Youth Soccer Association website, as follows:

www.nmysa.net, click on the "Risk Management Disclosure" icon , then go down the list until you find the Roswell location and the appropriate Module number for your team’s age group and click on "eRegister". Coaches can prepare with Pre Course Reading, Reference Materials and Coaches Corner provided on the NMYSA website.

Coach’s team assignments and books will be distributed between

1–2pm on Saturday, Sept 11 and Sunday, Sept 12.

These will be very informative including Philosophy of Coaching, Modified Laws, Prevention and Care of Injuries, appropriate age related activities for players and much more. This will be a very good sessions for both new and experienced coaches.

 


GAME-DAY CANCELLATIONS
If games are cancelled due to bad weather, there will be a message on the answering machine at 575-622-0690. If the message has not been changed to state that the games are cancelled, then you need to go to the fields.
Coaches are responsible for contacting their teams so please don't have your team parents call the league.
If you have a question that pertains to coaching or problems on your teams, please contact the RYSA at 575-622-0690 and leave a message.
The referees are there to help the game run smoothly. Please visit
